How do we capitalize on the knowledge that was shared today?
The global pandemic drove candidates and employees to re-evaluate their approach to work-life integration, re-evaluating their relationship to work and society. The need for a robust response from employers is great — companies must add value to the employee experience through flexible working conditions, a culture centered on connectivity and inclusivity, and programs for mental wellbeing, thereby retaining engaged and productive employees.
How do employers head off the quiet quitting trend?
Quiet quitting is not new, but it does make plain the disconnect between many employers and their teams. Amidst shifting labor trends, generational work norms, and current candidate expectations, the old way of working no longer works. Executive teams and HR leaders are challenged with crafting flexible solutions to become employers of choice in a competitive global market.
“It requires innovation in the technology we deploy to foster relationships, while recognizing the critical importance of infusing human connection,” said Cahill. “This requires a balance of experiences that are digitized, customized, and humanized.”
Employees should now be empowered with choices for how they learn, connect, and communicate.
Work is no longer a place we go, but a purposeful thing we do.
